Reviews

I recently bought a copy of this excellent book from a bookshop (sorry not Amazon this time). I found it very well illustrated and full of interesting information. I plan to walk in the Cotswolds this summer and I will certainly take the book with me. I like the way Jim has illustrated and written the book, you can tell just by reading he has walked the walks and loves the countryside. I have copies of his Lake District books too which I have used for reference on my visits to the area. Well done Jim for another great read and useful reference book. - Warwick

I came across this wonderful little book on the last day of my holiday in the Cotswolds. How I wish it had been on my first! It would have guided me to all the best villages and given me lots of interesting background. Can't believe I missed Burford! Never mind, hopefully there'll be another holiday and in the meantime this'll remind me of the places I did visit. Wish I'd had the sunny weather that's in the pretty paintings! - Memories

Most informative and good value. I love the Cotswolds, if you ever go, take a tour with Secret Cottage based near Moreton-in-Marsh. The guide is call Becky and she takes you to hidden villages that are inaccessible to public transport. Also, she serves coffee, lunch and a traditional cream tea at her private home - which is called Secret Cottage. - Robin

I bought the Cornwall book just before we returned from our holiday in England this year. As an Artist I thought the pen and wash sketches were a good style to follow for my visual diary and noting that there was Cotwolds and Lakes editions by the same Author I had to get them. I now wish I had bought all of them before departing Australia for that trip as we had already travelled through those parts of the country and there was something to learn about each place in the books. - Chris P
